Designing the nursery is a very exciting time, especially if you’re a first-time parent.
Happy Saturday!!! Today I’m so excited to be FINALLY sharing Eliza’s nursery with you all! I know she’s already ten months old, and we tried to have it done before she came, but it just didn’t happen. Life gets so busy, so after working on the space for several months, it’s finally perfect, and I love it so much!
I must say when I found out I was having a girl I was over the moon. Being such a girly girl when it comes to makeup and clothes so knowing I could dress up this little princess was so exciting.
When I started thinking about what I wanted for this space, two words came to mind, feminine and glam (and definetly, lots of gold!)
During my childhood, my room was my safe haven. A representation of my personality and a space where I could just be myself. I was lucky enough that my mother filled my room with pastel colours and plush textures, it was so wonderfully beautiful. That is the feeling I wanted to be reflected in this space. Something that was young and soft as a nursery should be but with touches that she could grow into and make her own.
This room definitely did not look like this while I was pregnant, even after Eliza was born is was still pretty bare. As with everything in my home I took my time and got to know this little human and her larger than life personality before I started designing.
I am so happy with how everything came together. It’s my absolute favourite room in our home, and I cherish every moment I spend with Eliza in this beautiful space.
Don’t forget to check out Eliza’s monthly updates, she is growing up too quickly for words!
